Synopsis: Mrs. Voorhees is dead, and Camp Crystal Lake is shut down, but a camp next to the infamous place is stalked by an unknown assailant. Is it Mrs. Voorhees' son Jason who didn't drown in the lake some 30 years before?

Review: The Jason's legacy starts.
The first sequel. The first of many sequels. The "Friday the 13th" saga has a good reputation regarding the blood and massacre. Jason is the true protagonist of "Friday the 13th" although his mother was who began this saga. Jason has a legacy, and it begins here. Despite not being a very good saga, in comparison with other sagas, the legacy that this famous murderer has is too extensive.
The sooner he starts to kill, his legacy will be greater. And here it starts, taking the role that his mother left when she died in the first film of this saga. Beginning with the appearance of Jason, it is different from how we know it: with his hockey mask. This time he has a sack on his head like "The elephant Man". The most intriguing thing is that Jason at the end of the film looks like the Elephant Man. Because both of them are very deformed and ugly. It is a curious fact.
At the beginning of the film I have a dilemma: How did Jason get the address of the protagonist who survived in "Friday the 13th"? I cannot explain that. Jason with a map and protagonist's address in the map? Was Jason asking people? Did Jason look for the address in a telephone book? I cannot imagine Jason doing none of these things.
Besides that scene, which is rare and inexplicable, there will be more scenes like this throughout the lenght. Such scenes like: What does Jason do killing people with a plastic spear? With a plastic spear! We won't deceive: that spear wasn't a true spear, far from it.
And although Jason has a lot of strength he cannot pierce with plastic spear a couple in love and a bed too. All that in the same blow. It is impossible.
And scenes like when Vickie (one of the monitors) comes into the bedroom where Jason had just killed the couple and we can see that Jason was lying on the bed, and he was next to a corpse. I don't understand it.
But, taking away theses scenes, this movie is a second part which is similar to the original (Friday the 13th), and it is acceptable.
It is not the sequel that every film would wish to have, but this movie is not so bad.
It continues maintaining the strengths, such as music, which improves and strengthens the terror and the suspense, as happened in "Friday the 13th" (1980) and "Friday the 13th part 2" still leaves on the back burner the factors that they can lead a slasher to perdition, and they can become a slasher into a bad slasher, although I have to qualify this topic.
These factors are sex, alcohol, drugs, deaths which have been made only for the public satisfaction and some topic more.
Well, this movie sets aside drugs and alcohol to put more blood, explicit deaths and more sex.
The topic of blood and explicits deaths do not bother me. However, the sex does: it bothers me. The free sex scenes don't have any argumentative reason when they appear in films like this, and they put these scenes, in my opinion, for three reasons: to fill the lenght, so that the public was satisfied watching these scenes, or both. There are not alarming sex scenes, but if in any movie there were less sex scenes, they would be better. But it is my opinion.
With a well-achieved development and with a weaker screenplay than the script of "Friday the 13th", we have a film with unoriginal story, which already begins to repeat, because they do not change nothing. With more explicit deaths wich display us more liters of blood, due to the first appearance of Jason.
Acceptable.
